Website Goal

The purpose of my web page is to serve as my professional portfolio consisting of typography quotes, multimedia collages and my personal blog. Upon graduation, I hope to work in the social media and/or marketing department of a lifestyle brand. Therefore, I am using my free time to become much more skilled at designing my own origical graphics/typography, specifically quotes and mixed-media collages, as those are big trends on brand's Instagram profiles at the moment. Additionally, I am a communications major with a concentration in digital media. For my communication Capstone, "communicating strength", we set a series of short and longterm goals. My year-long goal for my capstone is to write, design and publish my first quote book. My quote book is another reason I want to design creative images and fonts for the quotes I choose to be in my book. Lastly, as a communications major, it is crucial to have strong writing skills, and many employers require a writing sample when applying for jobs. Creating a blog will allow me to practice my writing skills and have a platform to share my written work. The six items on my nav menu with will my home page, my story (about me), Words to Live By (quotes/typography that are my original designs and creations), Mix it Up (my original multimedia collages and artwork),Photography (photos taken by me), and Blog (original pieces written by me).
